PAQ Systems ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and handles your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

We are the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy.
2. What information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, and the details of what you need — for example a repair fault, a machine you want to buy, or a website enquiry.
- Messages: details you share when you contact us through the form on this website, WhatsApp, email or phone.
- Service records: notes about a device or job we work on, for the purpose of quoting, repairing and following up.
- Technical data: a small cookie or browser setting that remembers whether you have accepted our cookie notice.
We do not ask for identity numbers, bank details or other sensitive information through this website. Please do not send sensitive information to us unless it is necessary for your job.
3. How we use your information
- To answer your enquiry and give you a quote;
- to carry out repairs, sales and other work you ask for;
- to provide website and hosting services if you take those up;
- to keep basic records of jobs and customers;
- to improve how we work; and
- to comply with the law.
4. Why we may process it (lawful basis)
We process your information with your consent (when you contact us) and because it is necessary to respond to you and to provide the goods and services you ask for.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only with:
- our staff and technicians, on a need-to-know basis, to do the work you asked for;
- service providers that help us communicate and operate (for example WhatsApp, email, Google Fonts and our website and hosting partner), who have their own privacy terms; and
- authorities, when the law requires it.

7. How we keep it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Please note that WhatsApp, email and other third-party platforms have their own security, and we cannot control them.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it to do the work, to keep proper records, or to meet legal duties. After that we delete or anonymise it.
9. Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us to:
- confirm what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct or delete information that is wrong, out of date or no longer needed;
- object to certain processing; and
- withdraw your consent at any time.
